| - This paper aims to introduce one of a number of projects focusing on internal teacher appraisal, which was carried out at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Pardubice in 2000, to discuss the principles that guided its design and its results. Even though this particular project dealt with appraisal at a tertiary educational institution, the authors believe that most of the issues to be mentioned in the paper are relevant to internal evaluation of teachers in a more general sense, i.e. regardless of the level and type of educational institution.

- V článku je představen jeden z celé řady projektů zaměřených na interní evaluaci terciárních pracovníků, který byl realizován na FHS Univerzity Pardubice v roce 2000. Diskutována jsou jak teoretická východiska procesů tvorby evalučních nástrojů, tak výsledky evaluace. Ačkoli se text zabývá evaluací v terciární sféře, autoři se domnívají, že většina klíčových aspektů má širší platnost, tj. vztahuje se k hodnocení učitelů obecně, bez ohledu na typ instituce, ve které působí.
