| Description
| - The aim of the project is to combine first-principles density-functional theory with the many-body techniques into a coherent framework for a systematic treatment of correlation effects in electronic structure calculations of solids. We wish to address dynamical fluctuations, collective response, and excited states mostly in metals, their alloys and their surfaces and to explain their spectroscopic (photoemission and Auger), magnetic (Curie temperature), structural and termodynamic properties (the role of electrons in actinides, alloy phase stability). - Cílem projektu je kombinací prvoprincipiální teorie funkcionálu hustoty a teorie mnoha částic vytvořit jednotný rámec pro systematické zahrnutí korelačních jevů do výpočtů elektronové struktury pevných látek. Zamýšlíme vyšetřovat dynamické fluktuace, kolektivní odezvu a excitované stavy zejména v kovech, jejich slitinách a na jejich površích a vysvětlit jejich spektra (fotoemisí a Augerova), magnetické vlastnosti (Curieova teplota) a strukturní termodynamické vlastnosti (úloha elektronů v aktinidech, stabilita slitinových fází).
