| - The experimental and theoretical study of extremely compressed nuclear matter in heavy-ion collisions, participation in experiments at CERN, GSI Darmstadt, RHIC. Research of quark-gluon plasma by detection of lepton pairs and by particle interferometry. Theoretical research in quantum chromodynamics, interactions of hadrons with nuclei including hadronic atoms, hypernuclear physics. Measurements of nuclear reactions important for understanding of astrophysical processes. Problems of theoretical and observational galactic and extragalactic physics, high-energy astrophysics and relativistic astrophysics, enabling to study physical properties of matter under the conditions unreachable in terrestrial laboratories. Theoretical modelling of evolution of construction, dynamics and chemical composition of galaxies, star formation, internal structure and external effects of compact objects. - Experimentální i teoretické studium extrémně stlačené jaderné hmoty ve srážkách těžkých iontů, účast na experimentech v CERN, GSI Darmstadt, RHIC. Výzkum kvark-gluonového plazmatu detekcí leptonových párů a částicovou interferometrií. Teoretický výzkum v oblasti kvantové chromodynamiky, interakcí hadronů s jádry včetně hadronových atomů, fyzice hyperjader. Měření jaderných reakcí významných pro pochopení astrofyzikálních procesů. Řešení problémů teoretické i observační galaktické a extragalaktické fyziky, astrofyziky vysokých energií a relativistické astrofyziky, umožňující studium fyzikálních vlastností hmoty v podmínkách nedosažitelných v pozemských laboratořích. Teoretické modelování vývoje stavby, dynamiky a chemického složení galaxií, tvorby hvězd, vnitřní struktury a vnějších projevů kompaktních objektů. Porovnávání modelových výsledků s pozorováními.
