"The present research proposal aims to advance a step further the design and performance of physically targeted drug nanocarriers for cationic drugs such as doxorubicin - a potent drug but with serious side effects. Therefore, new multifunctional magnetic nanocarriers for anticancer drugs will be designed, synthesized and characterized with regard to their structure and their physicochemical properties, pertinent to the desired application (magnetic Drug Delivery Systems). Synthetic parameters such as reaction time, temperature, absolute and relative concentration of reagents will be studied in order to obtain the best structural characteristics that affect the size of the MNPs and thus the magnetic properties. All products will be characterized precisely by many of physical-chemical methods such as: XRD, TEM, FT-IR, TG/DSC, M\u00F6ssbauer spectroscopy, magnetization measurement(SQUID), MRI and light scattering.
