"Plasma often plays the key role in many physical and chemical processes in nature as well as in advanced technologies. For their better understanding generation of plasma in laboratories under controlled conditions is inevitable. Therefore, various types of plasmas with required properties will be generated, stability and confinement of generated plasma studied, and needed diagnostics developed. Then, various physical and chemical processes in plasmas and during plasmas interactions with gases, liquids and solids will be described. Since the physical parameters of the generated plasma affect the products of such interactions, correlation between these parameters and the resulting properties of products will be sought for. Experimental work will be complemented by development of the needed theory and by computer modeling. Results of this project can be practically exploited in a wide variety of fields, starting with nuclear fusion to materials engineering."@en . . . "470"^^ .
