"The first part deals with the influence of demineralised water, 2-butoxyethanol, ethyl methyl ketone, ethyl acetate and benzinum (mixture of hexane isomers) on mechanical, optical and chemical properties of the paper. In general, no adverse influence on paper properties was observed. The only exception is water that can cause swelling and altering of the paper structure. Afterwards, stability of letterpress and offset printing inks on various paper grades was evaluated. Except aforementioned solvents, acetone, ethanol and toluene were used for testing as well.
