The sample consists of 29 students of bachelor study programs for teachers in kindergarten on a Moravian University. The research method was thematic writing about themes, why students want to become a kindergarten teacher, what were the circumstances of their decisions and also about what is their conception of the child and childhood concept and activities teachers kindergarten. Thematic writing was entered twice in the first and third semester study. The texts were analyzed in order to seek answers to the research questions. results show that the decision to become a teacher in kindergarten is the result of the previous complex interactions between personality characteristics and subject to external factors, However, the influence of which the body does not passively, but goes through their current attitudes and beliefs. For participatients proved two important personality factors - femininity and emotionality. As regards external determinants potent factor was environment families, which provided opportunities for gaming activities implemented participantky children and role models. Before professional experiences lead to the concept of teaching in kindergarten as an extended childhood. Educational philosophy of participants is three roles of teacher, conservation, guide the child from infancy to life and guide upon entry into school life"@en . .
