"This paper deals with the use of computer simulation for design of manufacturing and production systems. In our case, the possibilities of such use are demonstrated on particular examples from industrial practice. The purpose was to build up a model of the existing system and, especially, to finding the most balanced solution of operator deployment within the manufacturing line field. The Witness simulation environment was used for modeling and subsequent simulation. On the basis of the predefined requirements of the user, several simulation experiments are suggested. These experiments was to design in order to increase the throughput of the production line and to find bottlenecks in the system. In the course of realising the simulation experiments, the workload of individual operators and the overall daily production of the assembly line were tracked.
