"The contribution identifies cluster organizations of creative industries in the countries of Central Europe, based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Cluster organizations were defined on the basis of their membership in the Visegrad Four. The results of the analysis highlight an uneven representation of creative clusters, as they are present only in Poland and Hungary. Differences between type of cluster development and their affilia t ion to creative industries were detected from the spatial point of view. Furthermore, it presents differences in terms of their distribution to metropolitan and peripheral regions. Multimed ia clusters were identified as the most successful regarding to the concepts of %22global pipelines%22 and %22absorption capacity%22. Creative clusters evince specifics in terms of their activities, which play key role in the education of freelancers and representatives of micro companies. The main obstacle for further development appears to be the impact of financial crisis on willingness to pay membership fees to cluster organization. The conservativeness of public authorities is identified as the second problem, because authorities do not perceive culture and design as a suitable tool for regional development."@en . . "99"^^ . .
