Virtual teams have become more common nowadays, because a lot of organisations operate in dispersed geographic context along with the fact that the development of information technologies facilitates such virtual collaboration. Knowledge sparing among team members is essential for successful collaboration in virtual teams. That is why the paper deals with knowledge sharing in virtual teams. The aim of the paper is to make a synthesis of the main findings gained from expert literature. The paper is focused on barriers and key factors of effectiveness.
