"Knowledge capital is essential for organisational development and success. The fact that knowledge capital is primarily in possession of employees means that organisations need to find ways how to keep knowledge also in case some employees leave the organisation. One possibility is to spread knowledge in the organisation. The paper just deals with knowledge sharing in organisations. It is focused on barriers and factors of success in knowledge sharing, as well as on arrangements which an organisation can realise to support knowledge sharing. The aim of the paper is to make a synthesis of the main findings gained in the framework of the GA \u010CR (Czech Science Foundation) grant-maintained project, reg. No. 406/08/0459, Developing Managerial Tacit Knowledge, which was solved on Faculty of Management and Economics, TBU in Zlin, in the Czech Republic, in 2008 \u2013 2010. Fist of all spontaneous knowledge sharing is connected with the willingness of management to support it. Employees\u2019 understanding why knowledge sharing is important is significant too.
