"The article deals with detailed numerical analysis of the mechanics of the diaphragm, that is used in a passenger car actuator. The diaphragm is made of a highly elastic polymer, which is reinforced by a textile fabric on (at) its one side. Due to the fact that the actuator is a important regulation part, a high requirements of precision must be fulfilled in the relationship between a pressure in the actuator and the diaphragm lifting. A crucial problem is a hysteresis in the diaphragm displacement during a movement in one direction and a reversal direction. A finite element method (FEM) was used for the precise analysis of a possible reasons of the hysteresis, that would be caused by the actuator construction. Such phenomenons as a hyperelasticity and a contact of particular parts of elastoemer were included in the numerical model."@en .
