This part is used for the centering and clamping of the bars of material with various profiles which are entering to the machine. The polyurethane was chosen as the material of the part because a high elasticity (large deformation) and a small friction coefficient are required. A numeric model (including hyperelasticity) of the part was created and the stress/strain analysis of it was carried out. Considering the obtained results the shape optimization of the design of the part was done and this optimized model was verified in the next numerical analysis."@en .
