"Collagen hydrolysates may be applied as agro-technical fertilizer, label adhesives (similarly to glue-based adhesives). Nevertheless, collagen hydrolysates in these areas of application may be altered by other, often cheaper, products based on renewable sources. Solution to the problem would be some lucrative industrial applications of isolated hydrolysates. One of the possible alternatives is production of hydro-gels. Gels were prepared from 37.5 % solution of hydrolysate and by cooling down to 6 oC for 16 hours. Graphical dependencies of gel rigidity and gel solubility on the addition of dialdehyde starch (cross-linking agent). Thermal analysis (DSC) of prepared gels was also conducted.
