The main idea of self-tuning controllers is discussed and the library of digital single-input / single-output self-tuning controllers is introduced. The design of library controllers is mainly based on the PID controllers design and on the algebraic approach (dead-beat (DB), pole-placement (PP) and linear quadratic (LQ) minimization methods). The process is identified by the regression (ARX) model using the recursive least squares method (RLSM). The controllers are implemented as an encapsulated Simulink blocks and thus allows simple integration into existing Simulink schemas. The process of developing real-time applications using MATLAB Real-Time Workshop and several control courses of real laboratory models is also presented."@en . .
