"Steel fibres are added into concrete either for reduction of creating and spreading of cracks made by volume changes and for increasing of ductility of fragile cementitious matrix. The calculation of required reinforcement amount determinates the number of steel fibres. The common number determinated by this calculation is between 20 kg and 80 kg of steel fibres for one cubic meter of concrete. Within the calculation of tensile strength of SFRC (steel fibre reinforced concrete) is possible to take into consideration only with reduced amount of added fibres that increase the tensile strength of concrete thanks to their orientation. Within performance of controlling boreholes from industrial slabs and their estimation it is shown that at structures estimated by us the big range in number of steel fibres for cubic meter of concrete against the project estimated volume was determinated. This range is made by steel fibre non-homogeneity that can be caused by several technological factors. In this paper the results of investigations of industrial slabs where the range in absolute addition at drilled boreholes will be presented. The number of steel fibres was higher than the recommended value at some boreholes but at some specimens was the number of steel fibres lower."@en .
