"In the field of concrete building structures the use of concrete substantially develops, different types of fiber-reinforced concrete found its use in industrial floors, airport runways, concrete pavements, bridge decks, as shotcrete primary lining of underground structures, barrier construction, the thin-shell front elements or shell used as a formwork with static function. These structures may be strained during their lifetime with short-term dynamic loads or even with dynamic shock loads. Dynamic effects can be significant especially in thin-walled shell structures and barrier construction. It is clear that concrete reinforcement fibers have a positive impact on increasing resistance to shock loads, however, to assess the increase of resistance is not sufficiently verified experimentally."@en . .
