Several spot methods have been developed to be utilised to monitor the presence of ASR gel. In this contribution the nature and procedure of the three spot methods are described: uranyl-acetate fluorescence method, rhodamin B method and hexanitrocobaltitate method. Also some specific limitations are given. All used chemicals are toxic, some of them are mutageneous. That is why health hazard informations are of a great importance. All methods can be used by an adequately trained technician. Results of the spot methods should be verified by other identification methods."@en . "1335-8863" .
