"Transformation of the Department of Biomedical Engineering CTU, the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering (FBE) was founded in 2005. For research and teaching areas relating to the field of experimental biomechanics was established Biomechanics Laboratory in 2010. With regard to the rising number of students, the Biomechanics Laboratory was divided into two classrooms in 2011. The laboratory provides students with bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree a basic experimental experience with the technologies and methods used in practice for measuring kinematic and dynamic quantities characterizing the motion of the body, the mechanical properties of the material elements of medical devices, biological signal processing and their applications in control algorithms of prospective intelligent prostheses, etc. Due to instrumentation laboratories and specialization of staff and students within the faculty, they solved many research tasks, primarily focused on the development of new methods and technologies, falling well within the experimental biomechanics."@en .
