"This article deals with preconditions for non-motorized movement in the peripheral street parterres of selected new residential complexes built in Prague after 1989. The research aimed to verify a hypothesis that the new selected residential complexes enable less preconditions for non-motorized movement than their neighbourhood as, according to Lapintie[3], walking is meant to be the historically dominant mode of mobility in cities. First, those new residential complexes which have approximately the same vegetation area per an area unit as their neighbourhood were selected. Thus thirteen appropriate samples of residential complexes were found. It was observed that meanwhile the researched residential complexes date from period after 1989, its neighbourhood was built mostly before 1989. Than the street parterres situated on the border lines of these residential complexes were studied. The street parterre was defined as an available area of the street. A comparison between residential" . "Předpoklady pro nemotorizovaný pohyb v obvodovém uličním parteru vybraných nových obytných souborů v Praze"@cs .
