. "The struggle for sustainable settlement places demands not only on buildings themselves and small-scale urban design, but on spatial arrangement of the settlement on broader scale. The risks caused by fuel supply disruptions in post-peak-oil era may be very important. This paper presents application of adapted METAAM method on primary and secondary school accessibility in Beroun and Dobris localities in Prague suburban area. The results show the minimum energy needed for primary and secondary school commuting is not the most important energy need, but it is almost as much as a half of passive-standard house heating energy needs.
