Defect localization principle is based on precise computation of geodesics on the surfaces of tested bodies. The geodesics will be described by geodesic equations, which include information about the surface shape. We can simulate the real surfaces from engineering industry by means of compositions of elementary surfaces, on which geodesics are computed using the well-known Newton-Raphson algorithms. We localize the AE sources by means of minimizing the Euclidean distance between the differences obtained from geodesics and the real measured time differences. For this purpose we use Direct Search Methods, namely Compass algorithm, Reduced Newton method and Nelder-Mead method."@en . "2"^^ . "Praha" . . . .
