"The experimental programme was dealing with six very noble, highly alloyed materials: austenitic stainless steels Uranus SB8 and Uranus B26, duplex stainless steels Uranus 45N and Uranus 52N+, nickel alloys Nicrofer 3127 hMo and Nicrofer 5923 hMo, which are often used in the power, chemical and food-processing industry. The aim of the research is to verify the most important characteristics quantifying the degradation properties (failure mechanisms, corrosion mechanisms, degradation types and processes etc.). One part of the experimental programme was the slow strain rate test - the resistivity against mechanical stress and aggressive media was studied. By means of servo-hydraulic machine, the fatigue tests of CT-specimens at constant stress range were carried out. The metallographic analysis of structure and texture of all six investigated alloys was integral part of the research.
