Three sets of damaged specimens with different chemical composition were subjected to the experimental programme. All specimens were prepared by the method of powder metallurgy. In each set, they differed by the reduction ratio of cold working in the range from 24.8% to 70.4% and by the heat treatment (the original state and state after annealing at 500 \u00B0C/2h). The study of fracture micromorphology and character of longitudinal metallographic sections was made by scanning electron microscopy.
