The On-board unit installed in the vehicle collects information from a CAN network of the vehicle, and GPS unit. This information is periodically send to the Server and/or visualization module, which ensures a visualization of all available information on a display installed in the vehicle, via UDP communication protocol. The On-board unit installed in a train collects information from a CAN network and periodically sends this information to the server via UDP communication protocol. The server receives the date from a train and distributes this information among all available vehicles. Communication between the server and vehicle or train On-boar units is established on a request (special command has to be send from the unit to the server - establish the communication or abort the communication). The server only sends a data if the communication is established. During the communication a unit has to confirm the communication with a server. If the server does not get an approval signal from a unit during a 5 second time interval, the communication is aborted.
