"Tribological properties of nanostructural DLC/WC coatings were measured with a high temperature pin-on-disc CSM Tribometer in the range from room temperature (RT) up to 500 \u00B0C. The tribological performance was evaluated with respect to the wear rates of balls and coatings, friction coefficient and wear debris analysis. The running-in phenomenon of steel ball sliding against DLC coating was studied by sequential in situ measurements of ball wear rate. The wear volume was almost constant from number of cycles of 1500 to 5000. This phenomenon was caused by lowering of contact pressure and couldn't be caused by changing of wear mode; the measured friction coefficient showed no fluctuation at 1500 cycles.
