"Converter of the OrCAD and EEDraw Netlist Files to the CIA (Circuit Interactive Analyzer) Input Language Standard"@en . . "A reliable converter of both EEDraw and OrCAD netlist files to the CIA (Circuit Interactive Analyzer) format has been created. The OrCAD's well-known graphic editor is one of the most frequently employed one, and exists in more Windows and non-Windows versions. However, OrCAD is not a freeware as the EEDraw editor. The EEDraw development tool also exists in more non-Windows versions but works reliably under both Windows XP and Window 7 operating systems (both 32- and 64-bit ones] using a freeware DOSBox software. Moreover, EEDraw also creates very nice postscript outputs smoothly usable by the LaTeX typeset system, and has an easily modifiable library of circuit elements. Both OrCAD and EEDraw netlist files are of course incompatible with the CIA input language standard. As the CIA program has been purchased by tens of Czech companies, creating such a converter was very important. The converter has been compiled by the freeware Digital Mars C compiler; however, its C source code meets the standard of other compilers as Watcom C, Microsoft C, and GNU C. The converter itself is created as regular Win32 console application, and hence is usable in many operating systems without problems. As a demonstration of the successfulness of the program, more circuits have been demonstrated in the Radioengineering journal (with impact factor 0.503 in Web of Science) in the first 2012 issue (accepted for publication, to be printed). Four of them have been used as demonstrative examples of the converter: Van der Pol oscillator, Colpitts oscillator, a part of larger digital circuit (ON Semiconductor), and feedback microwave oscillator. The diagrams of these circuits have been created by the EEDraw graphic editor, then a netlist has been created and automatically converted to the CIA standard using the proposed converter, and the circuits have been finally analyzed by the CIA program. Moreover, a similar procedure has been tested when using the OrCAD development tool."@en . "RIV/68407700:21230/11:00191875" . . "RIV/68407700:21230/11:00191875!RIV12-MSM-21230___" .
