This paper is concerning about the influence of the external ear canal transfer function on sound signal percieved in the cochlea. The ear canal transfer function is often related to the Noise Induced Hearing Loss. But often is also stated, that the influence of external ear canal is canceled by transfer characteristics of the middle ear.
