"The study of biocompatible alloys of TiNb the Institute of Materials Engineering Faculty of Mechanical Engineering engaged for many years. The alloy and the oxide layer has been published many works. In this presentation submitted some information about current outputs and methods of testing in our laboratory. It is TiNb coating prepared using the PVD method and the results of testing of the coating along with further development. The following briefly presented formation of oxide layers and briefly described methods to study together with the results of the basic mechanical properties. There are described methods of preparing samples for the method of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and presented to the sample microstructure of these samples. In addition, the microstructure of thicker layers also studied by EBSD. Finally, the described measurements of surface properties - in particular their roughness, for which several methods were used, and the results thus obtained were compared with each other. It was also studied the relationship of cell growth to the measured roughness parameters."@en . . .
