"The article focuses on the long distance pipeline transportation. It is based on standards related to the construction of high-pressure and long-distance pipelines. Piping design, materials, route design and usage of \u201Cpipeline pigs\u201D are discussed. The article contains extract from IKL pipeline (Ingolstadt\u2013Kralupy\u2013Litv\u00EDnov) construction report. IKL provides diversity of oil supplies to the Czech Republic (CR) and enhance its energy security. IKL is connected to TAL pipeline (Transalpine) which runs from Muggia port in Italy to Germany, and transport oil from the Caspian, the Middle East and North Africa region. Presented calculations investigate the products behavior in piping system. Based on the oil and pipeline research physical model is created. Model simulates the transport of batches in a pipeline. For the typically transported batches are searched properties for the range of operating parameters. The result is temperature, velocity and pressure profile. Unlike other works calculations take into account the dependence of viscosity on shear gradient.
