"In the part of Project No. FR-TI1/047, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in cooperation with Aeronautical Research and Test Institute, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague and society CVP galvanization was realized deep research and technology development of production of a completely new type of composite Zn - PTFE coating.The technology of the production of this corrosion resistant coating with the sliding properties is based on the galvanic technology of coating production with usage of weakly acid zinc bath enriched of PTFE dispersion. The result coating is zinc coating with PTFE particles (Zn - PTFE). Zinc coating has in comparison with nickel coating a big advantage in providing to the base material (iron) not only a barrier but also the cathodic corrosion protection, all in combination with significantly improved wear resistance and friction coefficient. Practical application of this coating will be for screw joints mainly in automotive where is the big prequisite to define still the same surface properties of the threads due to the repeatability of the assembly and disassembly."@en .
