"Natural gas stored in underground gas storages becomes saturated by water vapor. Before distributing the gas from storages, suppliers must dehydrate it. This chapter introduces the three conventional methods used for natural gas dehydration: adsorption, absorption, and low-temperature separation. The chapter also presents the basics of an innovative dehydration method which passes the gas through a supersonic nozzle. There is also a description of the calculation methodology, and the advantages and disadvantages of each method are discussed. The computational algorithms are tested on data from real devices. A comparison of the energy demand of conventional methods is presented. At the end of the chapter, we make recommendations about the suitability of each method." . . "Natural Gas Dehydration"@en .
