"In order to achieve faster stabilization and elimination of changes in initial conditions during measurements of thermodynamic properties of cooling towers, an air duct line was created in the \u00DA12112 laboratory of FS \u010CVUT which enables exhausting of used air (heated up and saturated with water) to the roof of the laboratory. This adaptation of the laboratory was realized due to the need to maintain constant conditions during long-term experiments aimed at the use of laboratory air as a cooling medium in model cooling towers. The air duct has the size 0.4x1m at the entry and it is connected to the ventilator fan exhausting the individual cooling towers. Incorporated in this air duct is a reduced section which locally accelerates the flow through the duct and balances differences in the velocity profile. This narrowed place is fitted with a probe for pneumatic measuring of velocity by means of which the flow of air through the duct is determined.
