"In order to experimentally assess the efficiency and other parameters of cooling tower building-ins, the \u00DA12112 laboratory of FS \u010CVUT in Praha assembled a functional model of a counter-flow cooling tower with forced draft. The structure of the model consists of aluminum profile bars of square and rectangular section with different dimensions. The cooling tower model has a square layout with the side size of 1.65 m and towers to the height of 5 m. Situated in the lower part of the tower is a door reaching from the bottom to the height of 2 m, enabling better access into the tower for the purposes of installation of building-ins. To enable access into the internal space of the tower at the upper floors, two windows were fitted in the opposite walls. The entire tower is connected to an inlet and outlet of water and air. The height of spray can be fluently adjusted in the range from 0 m to 4m to facilitate measuring of different heights of cooling fillers without errors occurring in the rain zone."@en . . .
