A principal task is - to ensure that the cyclone separates particles just according to the rules of the PMx fraction at the broad range of conditions of emission measurements The key for the determination of the correct volume flow rate V through the cyclone is the analysis of the individual criteria dependence Stkm = f (Re) experimentally found for the cyclone. In general this relation describes the change of the cyclone separating ability expressed by the value of a1,m, with the change of the gas volume flow rate V through the cyclone and the physical properties of the gas. From the laboratory tests it follows, that even for geometrically similar cyclones with a different D, quantitatively different criteria dependences Stkm = f (Re) were found and for the analysis the individual criteria dependence Stkm = f (Re) must be used."@en . .
