"The design concerns an appliance for the reduction of acoustic energy propagating through the house cladding into protected outer space and vice versa. The noise damper comprises a frame with inserted \u039B-shaped cassettes with an apex angle from 125\u00B0 to 135\u00B0. The leading edge of the cassette has a 45\u00B0 bevel angle. This bevel causes lower constriction of the airflow through the damper and consequently reduces the pressure loss coefficient below 2,4. The cassettes are perforated only on the \u039B facing the bottom of the damper thus protecting the damper from rain. If greater damping is required the most appropriate configuration is such when the ratio of the thickness of the cassette and the distance between them is 5:4, for lower pressure losses the ratio 2:3 is appropriate.
