"This experimental device has been designed for demonstrating the effect of mass forces on the fluid inside a rotary vessel. Here, mass forces are represented by gravitational acceleration and centrifugal acceleration. The ratio between the sizes of these two acceleration types defines the shape of the parabola in which the surface stabilises, or the surface area. It is therefore easily used for demonstrating the dependence of the parabola's shape on the rotational speed of the rotary vessel. The speed is controlled by means of voltage regulation. The experimental device comprises a power supply, a variable-speed motor, a rotation transmission, and the rotary vessel. The rotary vessel is replaceable.
