"Gas-burning overhead radiant heaters are becoming more and more popular alternative for heating of large space and industrial buildings. The reason is mainly in their low initial and running costs compared to convective heating systems. This paper is aimed on evaluation and critical assessment of an influence of a shape of radiant heater's burner on heat distribution to the ambient. It is apparent from experimental results published by various authors that the maximum of radiant intensity doesn't lay right below the radiant heater, but rather there exists a ring of maximal values around heater's midpoint axis. So far authors tried to explain this paradox with metal reflector, which is a part of the heater; however the latest results show something else.
