The pulse rate of pulsatile flow was 80 pulses/min. Various pressure amplitudes were set. The elastic tube was loaded by atmospheric pressure from outside. The MATLAB software was used to create an algorithms for evaluation of the experimental data. The two experimental methods (non-invasive and invasive) showed similar results. The measured pulse wave velocities ranged from 4.5 to 6 m/s, thus in the same order of magnitude as values based on a theoretical estimation (7.5 m/s) and the physiological values published in literature."@en .
