The Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steels, Cr-Mo cobalt alloy and Al-V titanium alloy are the most widespread materials. These metals and alloys dominate and will also be the most important materials in joint-implants - industry also at the company Beznoska Ltd, Kladno. Current paper is focused to the investigation of Ti and Ti-alloys with various surfacing that are used at Beznoska for the implants manufacturing. The aim is to determine the relationship between the surface roughness and growth of osteoblast cells on model specimens with different roughness.
