"A large set of DLC/WC coatings was prepared using Hauzer\u00B4s HTC 1500 magnetron sputtering plant. Prepared samples were studied on a high temperature pin-on-disc wear tester CSEM. Results of sliding tests were evaluated on JEOL 6460 LA scanning electron microscope equipped with EDX analysis. Additionally also X-ray analysis and RBS spectra were taken into account. In sliding tests we used spheres of 100Cr6 bearing steel or ceramic Si3N4 and Al2O3 ones, all with a diameter 6 mm. The tests were carried out up to temperature 600 oC. All measurements were done with load 5 N and speed of 0.04m.s-1. Some room temperature tests were also done on a linear tribometer enabling higher load up to 40 N. Because our HTC 1500 sputtering plant is normally used for commercial coating, part of this presentation is devoted to the description of results and experience with DLC coatings in industry." .
