"This work deals in it\\'s first part with problematics how to get 3D geometrical models of tissues, especially of bones. While the most used method today is 3D reconstruction on basis of CT or MRI scans, a principle of this procedure is described more detailed. The aim of this work is to familiarize both the present and the potential users of FEM in the field of biomechanics with this problematics and to ease a choice of suitable software. It\\'s second part describes in detail a reconstruction of a three dimensional model of a lower limb including femur, tibia, fibula and also patella. The model was created on base of CT scans provided by National Library of Medicine which obtained these images within its Visible Human Project. We focused our effort on possibility of future use of the models in CAD software Unigraphics, so not only a direct import into a FE analyzer."@en .
