"Simulation model SMODERP is a tool for calculation and prediction of soil erosion and surface runoff from agricultural land. The physically based model includes computational modules for infiltration (Phillips equation), surface runoff (kinematic wave based equation), surface retention, surface roughness and the protection effect of vegetation. 1D model was developed in past, a fully distributed 2D model has been introduced recently. Automatic adjustment of drainage pathways based on selected lines and based on DMT is tested. Implementation of the shallow subsurface runoff and connectivity of surface and subsurface runoff components are currently tested. The distributed solutions help to estimate outflow in drainage ditches which is essential for determination of the joint facilities at land consolidation parameters and for more precise design of flood protection dry polders and small water reservoirs."@en .
