Specimen is usually comprised by two identical thin plates (16 x 16 cm) made of material to be investigated. The plates are placed in thermal insulation frame, which is closed from both sides by thermal insulation shield with attached heating foils. The device has been built for investigations made in the framework of international project IEA Annex 58, Reliable Building Energy Performance Characterisation Based on Full Scale Dynamic Measurement. The device has been used for estimation of material properties by inverse modelling techniques based on minimization of difference between measured and calculated values.
