Hydraulic structure capacity boost is theoretically possible applying different technical measures: capacity increase of existing safety spillway (for instance by lowering of overflow edge) construction of new bottom outlet, adding of new spillway (for instance on right side) and other possibilities. Under any circumstances it is essential to properly select the solution not to violate historical character of the important cultural monument. If the construction activity is sensitively executed (with conserving of original masonry character) then the rehabilitation should not have negative impact to the general historical character of the hydraulic structure, its surrounding and environment. Safety spillway adaptation originated in findings and measuring on existing spillway model with respect of conservation of historical character of the dam and preservation of good hydraulic operation of spillway.
