"Geothermal energy is a source available anywhere and heat pumps using that heat from the ground are one of the fastest growing applications in the area of renewable energy sources. Despite of the fact, that experiences with that type of heat pump are not longstanding. Always is necessary to deal with specific location, because the thermal conductivity of rocks differentiates. Energy amount we can gain depends on many factors. These factors are summarized in this paper and their importance for the design of proper function of the heat pump borehole is evaluated. The most important factors are connected with sharing of heat between the heating fluid and the surface of a borehole and heat exchange between the surface of the borehole and the surrounding soil. For modeling of borehole is used Earth Energy designer software (EED), which supports design of boreholes and simulates the dynamic thermal behavior of boreholes."@en . "6"^^ .
