Occurrence of these pollutants, heavy metals, PAH and non-extractable matter, has been observed in water and bed sediment of three small urban streams impacted by different types of anthropogenic activities (combine sewer system, storm sewer system and WWTP). Based on the results it is evident, that specific pollutants significantly participate on not achieving a good chemical status of the streams and their concentrations are strongly toxicologically hazardous for aquatic organisms, mainly for benthos."@en .
