Most challenging in space structure analysis is to determine rigidity of joints and the second order effect on structure stability. Steel joints specimen with glued-in rods and experiments with segments of timber dome in the 1:1 scale are briefly presented. The finite element analysis and modelling of joint and geodesic dome is introduced. The aim of our study is to examine non-linear behaviour and applicability of middle span timber domes with designed joint."@en .
