The gabion retaining wall is 9 m high at the tunnel portal, its height decreases with the distance from the tunnel. Nine-meter high gabion is one of the highest ones in the Czech Republic, its structural design was proposed with a very low reserve of bearing capacity because of limited building space, Therefore monitoring of the structure was recommended. The measurements done until July 2006 are discussed together with their possible their future development, which will be further used for analysis of gabion construction deformations."@en .
