The connection with this flood protection is also discussion about solution approach. Some specialists prefer using and enlarging retention capacity of landscape, others on the contrary technical measures. It's possible to declare (based on calculations and investigation of Dpt. of Drainage, Irrigation and Landscape Engineering) that useful flood protection is possible arrange by both methods combination. The contribution (first part) defines natural and anthropogenic retention factors in watershed including verbal rating their influence on runoff relations. In the second part there are results of WMS model used for case study Polecnice watershed, where effects of various scenarios of retention factors changes are simulated.
